RACHEL L. PLATTRachel Platt

Ms. Platt's practice includes representation of clients in the areas of family law and special education law.  Ms. Platt has represented clients in many different arenas such as Magistrate Court, State Court, Superior Court, Administrative Hearings, and has attended Individual Education Planning Meetings and Student Support Team meetings with parents of special education students. 

Ms. Platt received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology, cum laude, from the University of Georgia in December of 2000. Ms. Platt received her J.D. from the University of Colorado School of Law in 2004. During school, Ms. Platt was actively involved with the Civil Legal Aid Clinic and the Women’s Law Caucus and was also on the Journal on Telecommunications and High Technology Law.   

As outlined below, Ms. Platt is currently a member of the State Bar of Georgia, the Atlanta Bar Association, the American Bar Association and the Georgia Association for Women Lawyers (GAWL). She is also a member of the Friends Junior Committee, which is an active volunteer group benefiting Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.
